Forchach - Hängebrücke - Fuchswald-hut
The Fuchswald-Hut lies about 1360 m below the Hochvogel in the back Black Water Valley. The Black Water Valley is an uninhabited side valley of the lower Lechtal. The Black Water Valley is known for the turquoise blue Sieglseen, which are definitely worth a visit. The MTB tour to the hut starts in the centre of Forchach. From Forchach the tour runs first in northern direction to the pedestrian suspension bridge. Here you cross the Lech river on the 75 m and over 100 years old suspension bridge. On the other side of the river Lech turn left towards the valley entrance of the Schwarzwassertal. After about 3 km you reach the Schwarzwasserbach at the mouth of the Schwarzwassertal valley. On the western side of the stream, a goods road branches off to the north into the Black Water Valley. The first part runs up the mountain on a moderate gradient, but becomes flatter again after almost 200 m. The gravelled goods road runs along the left flank of the valley, mostly on a slight gradient. After 9 km the goods road changes sides of the Schwarzwasserbach and runs along the valley floor into the valley. After about 14 km you reach the Fuchswald-Hut at an altitude of 1360 m. When packing your backpack you should note that there is no place to stop in the Black Water Valley. The whole route from Forchach to the Fuchswald-Hut is only sparsely marked, so you should have a map with you. With a difference in altitude of almost 500 m and a length of 14 km, the tour is of medium difficulty.
