Hinterhornbach is a small village in the rear Hornbach valley, a side valley of the Tyrolean Lechtal. The village is situated at 1101 m and there are currently about 95 inhabitants living there. The municipality consists of the districts Krummensteinhof, Schwandthof, Zipfelhof, Gufel and Bretterhof.
