The Madauer Höhenweg is a nice alternative to the normal route along the goods route to Madau. The main part of the Madauer Höhenweg runs along the eastern flank of the valley on a narrow path. The highlight of the trail is already shortly after the entrance at the crossing of the few meters wide Madauschlucht gorge on a wooden bridge. The rest of the trail leads through spruce and mountain pine forests, rugged terrain and mountain meadows to the mountain village of Madau.
