The viewpoint Scheibe is about 350 m above Holzgau on the southern side of the valley. The start of the hike is the village centre of Holzgau, continue along the dirt road to the new Dürnauer Bridge. On the southern side of the Lech you follow a forest road to the actual starting point. From there the interesting part of the hike begins. The path continues along a narrow path. In some places it runs a little exposed and is partly quite narrow. Stepping safety is a prerequisite for this path. Fleet hikers reach their destination in about 60 to 90 minutes. Once there you will be rewarded with a fabulous view over Holzgau. From the slice you can continue uphill to the 2424 m high Peischelspitze. It is also possible to take the path to the left towards Sulzlalm after a short climb. For this you need another 1.5 to 2 hours of walking time. The way to Scheibe Holzgau is only suitable for the experienced!
