 vorderhornbach
Vorderhornbach lies at 970 m at the mouth of the Hornbach valley into the Lechtal. The village of Hinterhornbach, which has almost 350 inhabitants, is one of the two villages on the side valley of the Hornbach. The neighbouring communities of Vorderhornbach are Weissenbach in the north, Hinterhornbach in the west, Elmen in the south and Stanzach in the east. In Vorderhornbach there are currently two restaurants, the Gasthof Kreuz and the Gasthof Rose. In addition to these two inns, there are also a number of private landlords and holiday apartments in Vorderhornbach. Vorderhornbach is very quietly situated and you can hardly feel the traffic noise in Vorderhornbach, as the Lechtal road passes at a safe distance. Besides its tranquillity, the village is characterized by its sunny and natural location. As an active athlete you will certainly visit the recently built natural swimming pond or take an extended hike in the nearby Hornbach valley. The famous Lady's Slipper blossom takes place every year in Martinau near Vorderhornbach. The Petersbergalm near Hinterhornbach, the Baichlstein with its fabulous view of the "Lechzopf" or the famous Almdorf Fallerschein near Stanzach are popular hiking destinations in the area. The famous peaks in the area are the impressive Klimmspitze, the Hochvogel near Hinterhornbach and the Grubachspitze.
