Circular trail along the salt road, Warth am Arlberg

The salt road in Warth was an important path in the Middle Ages  The "white gold" mined in Hall in Tyrol was taken along this historic road via the Lech Valley into the Bregenzerwald. The course of this historic road can still be walked between Warth and the Jägeralpe today.

The circular hike started in Lechleiten, a district of the municipality of Steeg and led us via Hochkrumbach, Warth and Gehren back to Lechleiten. The walking time along this route is about 2.5 hours.
